As the Coordinator/ Liaison for State-School Initiatives at the Greene County Educational Service Center, Dr. Kathy Harper is dedicated to offering our districts up-to-date and relevant information regarding teacher and principal evaluation, and using student growth measures (including student learning objectives) for the purposes of evaluation and improving instruction and student learning.
This school year, work will occur with school districts as they work to implement state initiatives, including the implementation of the new educator evaluation systems and use of Ohio's electronic Teacher and Principal Evaluation System (eTPES).
Kathy Harper has expertise in the areas of state requirements, literacy, curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices. She has served as a classroom teacher, curriculum supervisor, assistant superintendent, and superintendent at the local level. While working at the Ohio Department of Education, she was responsible for and worked with others on School Improvement Grants (SIG), Ohio Teacher Evaluation (OTES), Ohio Principal Evaluation (OPES), Student Growth Measures (SGMs), Student Learning Objectives (SLOs), and the electronic Teacher and Principal Evaluation System (eTPES). She is available to assist in your district in a variety of ways.
